These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Unfold Work, our AI mail agent, together with the website at unfoldwork.ai and related services (the "Service"). Unfold Workis provided by Unfold ("Unfold," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Unfold. We may modify these Terms from time to time; we will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date, and your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

The Service is a business tool. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use it. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" includes that organization.

3. Beta

The Service is currently offered as a beta release, open to anyone who signs in with a supported mail account. It is provided for evaluation, may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued, and may contain errors. Features, availability, and limits may change at any time. We may add, modify, or remove functionality without notice.

4. What the Service does

Unfold Work is a background agent that works inside the mailbox you already have. It reads your mail, decides what needs your attention, surfaces one-line facts as Signals, and prepares suggested replies in your voice. It organizes your attention, not your mailbox. In particular:

• It never sends on its own: sending is your press, on a draft you have opened and read. It never deletes, permanently removes, or hides your mail. Nothing goes out unless you press send.
• It does not move or rearrange your messages. Your existing mail apps keep working exactly as they do today.
• You can disconnect at any time, and your mailbox is left as if the Service had never been connected, apart from any drafts it prepared and its own reserved tags and saved-search view, which are retired on disconnect. Anything you chose to send stays in your Sent folder, because it is your mail and your act.

5. Connecting your mailbox and authorization

To use the Service you authorize Unfold Workto access the mailbox you connect: a Gmail or Google Workspace account through Google OAuth, or a Microsoft 365 or Outlook account through Microsoft. You grant this access on the provider's own consent screen, and you may revoke it at any time from that provider's account settings or by disconnecting inside Unfold Work. You are responsible for having the right to connect the account you connect, and for complying with any policies of your employer or mailbox provider. Our handling of the data we access is described in the Privacy Policy, including our adherence to the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.

6. Your account and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account. Use a strong, unique password, do not share your credentials, and notify us promptly at support@unfoldwork.ai of any unauthorized access.

7. AI-generated content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to classify mail, generate Signals, and draft replies. You acknowledge that:

• Drafts and Signals are suggestions provided for your convenience and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable.
• You are responsible for reviewing any draft before you send it, and for everything you send. The agent never sends on its own.
• AI output is not professional advice of any kind, including legal, financial, medical, or tax advice.
• We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated content.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law or regulation.
• Connect a mailbox you are not authorized to access, or use the Service to access another person's data without permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or use bots or scrapers to access it without permission.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our authorization.
• Use the Service to send spam or transmit malware or harmful content.

9. Your content and data

You retain all rights to your mail and to the content you provide. You grant us a limited license to access, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your mail, and we do not use it to train generalized AI models. You are responsible for maintaining your own records; your mail always remains in your Google mailbox and never depends on us.

10. Fees, subscriptions, and refunds

10.1 Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, meaning you purchase the subscription from Paddle, but the Service is licensed to you by Unfold. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by Paddle's Buyer Terms and Conditions in addition to these Terms.

10.2 Free trial

New accounts begin with a 14-day free trial. The trial does not require a payment method, connects one mailbox, and ends on its own: nothing is charged, and no subscription begins, unless you choose a plan and complete a purchase. If you do nothing, the trial simply expires.

10.3 Plans and pricing

Paid plans, their prices, their included mailbox counts, and their billing periods are described on our pricing page and may change. We will give advance notice of a material price change affecting an existing subscription, and any change takes effect no earlier than your next renewal.

10.4 Billing and taxes

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis, monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose. Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. By subscribing, you authorize Paddle to charge your chosen payment method for all fees incurred, including any applicable taxes (such as VAT or Sales Tax) that Paddle calculates based on your location. All fees are non-refundable except as explicitly stated in these Terms or in Paddle's Buyer Terms.

10.5 Automatic renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel at least 48 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the next payment date: you keep access for the period you have already paid for.

10.6 Refund policy

Because Paddle is our Merchant of Record, refunds are provided at Paddle's sole discretion and are evaluated case by case. Contact us or Paddle within 14 days of a charge if you believe a refund is warranted. Two limits apply:

• Digital content exception: your right to cancel an order or request a refund does not apply to digital content once you have started to access or otherwise benefit from the Service.
• No prorated refunds: there are no refunds or credits for partially used or unused subscription periods.

The free trial exists so that you can evaluate the Service without paying for it, which is the honest place for that decision to be made.

10.7 Plan changes

You may upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Downgrading may reduce the number of mailboxes you can connect or the features available to you.

10.8 Chargebacks and disputes

If you do not recognize a charge or wish to dispute a payment, contact our support before raising a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Raising a chargeback without merit or legitimate reason, as determined by our Merchant of Record, may result in suspension or termination of your account.

10.9 If a subscription lapses

When a subscription ends or a payment fails beyond any grace period, AI-powered features stop. Your mailbox connection, your data, and the rule-based alerts you configured continue to work until you disconnect. Nothing is deleted because of a billing state; deletion happens only when you disconnect a mailbox or close your account.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, content, and trademarks, is owned by Unfold and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service, or use our branding without written permission. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without obligation to you.

12. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Google and our AI providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts, omissions, content, or availability.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that it will catch every important message, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your needs. You remain responsible for reviewing your inbox and for the messages you send. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNFOLD AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY MESSAGE THAT WAS OR WAS NOT SURFACED. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD 100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unfold and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service and disconnect your mailbox at any time; disconnecting deletes the data we hold as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or unlawful activity, or technical or security concerns. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

17. Dispute resolution

Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at support@unfoldwork.ai and try in good faith to resolve the matter informally. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property or confidential information.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

19. General

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them freely. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Unfold regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on the subject.
